We're looking for a Group Strategy Director that will be responsible for the development and presentation of digital and 1:
1 strategic marketing recommendations for multiple clients. The ideal candidate has a passion for building data-driven, technology-enabled brand experiences, is a strategic storyteller, and has an innate sense of curiosity with a knack for dot connecting. This individual will have an opportunity to mentor and a team of Strategists and partner with multiple departments to solve client business problems.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Quality of Work
Solid understanding of and management of day-to-day work
Craft clear, concise and compelling communication materials to articulate the strategic recommendations from both internal teams and clients
Develop comprehensive creative briefs that effectively translate insights into actionable creative direction
Pull from different tools and frameworks to solve a variety of client problems
Define and design processes and approaches in tackling new problems and projects as needed, aiding in scope development.
Create journey and ecosystem maps that build empathy with consumers, uncover gaps and opportunities in their experience ecosystem
CRM and Marketing Technology Leadership
Spearhead the strategic application of advanced CRM methodologies, including best action strategies, dynamic content personalization, and customer journey optimization
Convey how the brand can extend across relevant channels, laddering up to each brand's positioning and promise, with a lens to omni-channel CRM
Ensures communications and experiences are developed using data to be as personalized as possible, synthesizing insights across consumer, cultural and category trends
Maintain a deep understanding of the evolving CRM landscape identifying and evaluating emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Leadership
Serves as lead across a portfolio of brands and clients
Productization of the work, adding your own unique flavor to approaches & frameworks at the agency
Oversee the creation of detailed campaign strategies, encompassing target audience segmentation, messaging frameworks, channel selection, and performance measurement.
Craft and tell inspiring and clear strategic stories to sell through new directions, territories and approaches internally and externally
Pull the strategic work through from discovery to roadmaps to ideation and execution
Lead engaging and productive workshops and planning sessions, whether in person or virtually
Be familiar with a range of research tools & methodologies (whether informal or formal research)
Proactively stay on top of emerging trends, culture, and influences that affect the digital, CRM and CX world, as well as the categories you're focused on
Easily identify potential hurdles for the business and take the lead on solving them
Manager & Team Lead
Develop strong relationships with reports - focused on mentorship and growth
Be invested in career development of individuals, with an eye on collective success of immediate team and larger Strategy & Analytics team
Foster an environment of collaboration, respect and a 'win together' mentality
Teach new approaches, inspire them to develop their own strategic superpowers, run internal sessions to further unlock their potential
Growth
Lead the development of data driven marketing campaigns that leverage CRM insights to achieve client objectives and grow the business.
Provide business-relevant perspective on various client challenges to fuel performance and growth of client business
Identify and nurture organic growth opportunities, leading to new opportunities and projects
Manage owned portfolio and pipeline, while looking at expansion of scopes and existing scopes
Support new business needs from a strategy perspective
Relationship Building
Build strong internal relationships with senior agency team members
The ability to measure, understand, and translate complex insights for clients
Continue to elevate the overall strategic practice alongside other strategy leads
Be the trusted Senior Strategic Leader externally for clients on their businesses, and with agency partners as part of collective IAT
Qualifications
~10+ years of experience specifically in digital, CRM, and 1:
1 strategy and loyalty with a portion in an agency environment
~ Passion for building data-driven, technology enabled, brand experiences
~ Experience leading strategy for national clients and building strong trusted client relationships. Health or B2B experience is a bonus.
~ A proven track record of successful ideas that deliver measurable results for clients.
~ Deep understanding of planning principles and frameworks with good digital and CRM knowhow.
~ Collaborative nature, flexible, quick-witted
~ Ability to assert and defend thinking, ideas and approaches
~ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
~ The ability to make complex subjects understandable
~ Ability to use data to tell compelling stories
~ Collaborative and inclusive working style that values input from diverse talent.
