Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Product to lead a cross-functional team of technology and content professionals in managing and executing key technology projects.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will oversee the process of migrating and managing digitizing teacher lesson plans into a content management system (CMS), managing the development and scaling of a new Learning Management System (LMS) for math lesson delivery, and driving the creation of a new student digital assessment and practice tool that utilizes AI (Digital AP) .
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in project management (e.
g.
, PMBOK, Agile) technology-focused projects, creating product roadmaps, and managing budgets for both technology and staffing.

Target Salary Range:
$127,200 to $152,600 plus Group Health Benefits and flexible work arrangements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Reporting to and representing the CEO across the organization, defines and communicates product vision and strategy of JUMP Math's key digital assets and owning their delivery.
  
• Execute the product roadmap for the CMS, LMS and digital student assessment and practice tool, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and mission.
  
• Lead and manage a cross-functional team of technical staff, content managers, subject matter experts, instructional designers, engineers, production teams and marketing to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  
• Responsible for the overall development of JUMP Math's digital assets; develops detailed plans, organizes and leads meetings, tracks project milestones, and ensures all teams are aligned with the products scope, goals, and objectives.
  
• Oversee the migration of 3,500+ teacher lesson plans and other resources into the CMS.
  
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of a digital assessment and practice tool for K-8 students, ensuring it meets educational objectives and enhances student learning.
  
• Create, track, and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for technology development, staffing, and other resources.
  
• Ensure effective communication between technical and non-technical teams, facilitating smooth workflows and addressing challenges as they arise.
  
• Help design and implement strategies for scaling and enhancing the LMS and assessment tools to improve teacher engagement and student outcomes.
  
• Coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) and feedback loops for the LMS and digital assessment tools to ensure product quality and alignment with user needs.
  
• Stay up to date with the latest trends in EdTech and apply innovative solutions to improve product offerings.
  

Qualifications:
(minimums)

• Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience (Computer Science, Project Management, Scrum Master or other relevant fields)
• 5 years of experience managing development of market leading best-practice technology-focused projects
• Proven experience in technology product management, including creating roadmaps, defining product features, and managing budgets.
  
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, manage resources, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  
• Familiarity with Agile project management practices is desirable.
  
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) and/or learning management systems (LMS).
  
• Experience in the development and management of student-facing digital tools, particularly in the context of assessments and practice tools.
  
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with technology engineers, UX/UI designers, content creators and SMEs.
  
• Ability to create clear, actionable plans and ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  
• A background in education, particularly K-8, is a plus.
  
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  
• Previous experience in EdTech, education sector or non-profit environments is an asset.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Makes decisions within their level of authority and can reason out solutions and knows whom to involve solving issues.
  
• Familiarity with budget management for both technology and staffing.
  
• Experience with instructional design and/or teacher professional development programs.
  
• Knowledge of math education and curriculum standards.
  
• Experience in digital assessment tools and educational practice platforms.
  
• Ability to manage remote and hybrid teams.
