Accounting Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Direct and oversee the month-end close functions of the company.
2. Prepare and present financial reports.
3. Work directly with leadership to report timely and accurate financial information.
4. Maintain and report against annual budgets and multi-year forecasts. Conduct timely analysis of budget/forecast variances and financial trends.
5. Ensure effective internal controls are in place and maintain compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local laws for financial and tax reporting.
6. Perform monthly reconciliation of subledgers and balance sheet accounts.
7. Prepare and file timely and accurate payroll, sales, income, or other tax returns and reports, including related deposits.
8. Strive for continuous process improvement within the department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting and finance experience.
• Experience in manufacturing/engineering is preferred.
• Unimpeachable integrity and dependability. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of urgency.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work in a team management position.
