Le gestionnaire de catégorie est responsable de la contribution de la ligne de produits chimiques en tant qu'unité commerciale.
Il s'agit notamment d'identifier les opportunités de nouveaux produits, d'accroître la rentabilité des produits existants, de soutenir l'usine de production de produits chimiques, de gérer les relations avec les fournisseurs, de surveiller la concurrence, d'élaborer des stratégies de mise sur le marché et, d'une manière générale, de répondre aux besoins des équipes de vente, de marketing et de gestion en fournissant un soutien technique et une formation en rapport avec l'orientation stratégique de l'entreprise.Responsabilités :
Gérer le cycle de vie complet du portefeuille de produits et défendre les intérêts de cette catégorie dans le monde entier.Développer de nouvelles idées de produits sur la base de l'expérience du secteur, des nouvelles législations et du retour d'information des représentants des ventes, des clients, des collègues des organisations de vente et des partenaires commerciaux.Concevoir un positionnement de produit qui s'aligne sur les clients cibles.
Articuler une proposition de valeur claire.
Collaborer avec le département marketing pour le lancement de nouveaux produits et les stratégies promotionnelles.Réaliser des études de marché sur les clients et les prospects afin de spécifier les exigences du marché pour les produits existants et à venir.
Gérer le processus de contrôle de la qualité pour l'offre de produits chimiques.Soutenir l'usine chimique WALTER en cas de besoin.
Aider au développement et à la maintenance des activités de marques privées.
Gérer la ligne d'assistance technique pour la catégorie des produits chimiques.Superviser le processus de lancement des produits, y compris la définition et le suivi des calendriers et d'autres éléments livrables connexes.Obtenir les certifications et approbations industrielles nécessaires pour les produits nouveaux et existants, selon les besoins des différents segments d'utilisateurs finaux.Tester et analyser les produits et les offres de la concurrence.
Analyser le positionnement du marché et des prix dans tous les pays concernés.
Fournir des analyses concurrentielles complètes à utiliser dans le cadre du développement de nouveaux produits et au profit de nos organisations de vente.Fournir des informations sur les produits aux parties prenantes internes (ventes, marketing, formation, etc.).Voyager selon les besoins pour rencontrer les partenaires commerciaux, accompagner les vendeurs sur la route et participer à des salons professionnels (5 à 10 % du temps).Assurer la conformité juridique avec les différents organismes gouvernementaux.
Maintenir les illustrations des produits, les fiches de données de sécurité et les fiches techniques.Connaissances, compétences et aptitudes :
Solides compétences en matière d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes.Orientation vers les résultats et capacité à gérer plusieurs projets simultanément.Réussite avérée dans le lancement de produits.Excellentes compétences en matière de négociation et de relations interpersonnelles.
Capable d'établir et de maintenir des relations durables avec les services de l'entreprise, les principaux partenaires commerciaux et les clients.
Excellentes compétences en matière de présentation, y compris une expérience de présentation à des auditoires importants (plus de 50 personnes).Maîtrise de l'informatique et excellente connaissance des applications Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Capacité à rédiger de manière claire et concise.La connaissance de la distribution industrielle et/ou de l'industrie métallurgique est un atout.Expérience et formation :
Baccalauréat.
Un domaine lié à la chimie ou au commerce est un atout.
Minimum de 3 ans d'expérience dans un rôle de gestion de catégorie/produit.Une expérience dans le domaine de la chimie serait un atout.Maîtrise du francais et de l'anglais au fin d'interractions à l'internationale avec clients externes et internes.Un MBA serait un atout.________________________________________________________(ENGLISH VERSION)Reports to:

The Category Manager is responsible for chemicals product line contribution as a business unit.
This includes identifying opportunities for new products, increasing the profitability of existing products, supporting chemical production plant, managing suppliers relationship, competitive monitoring, developing go-to-market strategies and generally supporting the needs of sales, marketing and management teams to provide technical support and training related to the strategic direction of the company.Responsibilities:
Manage the entire lifecycle of the product portfolio, and champion the interests of this category worldwide.Develop new product ideas based on industry experience, new legislations and feedback from sales representatives, customers, colleagues in sales organizations, and business partners.Devise product positioning that align with target customers.
Articulate clear value proposition.
Collaborate with the marketing department for new product launch and promotional strategies.Conduct market research on customers and prospects in order to specify market requirements for existing and upcoming products.
Manage quality control process for chemical offering.Support WALTER chemical plant when needed.
Assist with development and maintenance of private label business.
Manage tech support line for chemicals category.Oversee the product launch process, including defining and tracking schedules and other related deliverables.Obtain necessary industry certifications and approvals on new and existing products as required by different end-user segments.Test and analyze competitive products and offerings.
Analyze market and price positioning in all related countries.
Provide full competitive analyses for use in new product development and for the benefit of our sales organizations.Provide product related info to internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, training, etc).Travel as needed to meet business partners, accompany salespersons on the road, and attend tradeshows (5-10% of the time).Ensure legal compliance with different governmental bodies.
Maintain product artworks, Safety Data Sheets and Technical Datasheets.Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Strong problem analysis and problem solving skills.Results oriented and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Demonstrated success in product launches.Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers.
Excellent presentation skills, including experience presenting to large (50+) audiences.Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Ability to write clearly and concisely.Knowledge of industrial distribution and/or metalworking industry is a plus.Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Chemical or Business related field is an asset.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a category/product management role.Experience in the chemical field would be an asset.Fluency in French and English for international interaction with external and internal customers.An MBA would be an asset.
