POSITION SUMMARY
Economic Development Winnipeg's (EDW) mission is to promote and influence economic growth in Winnipeg.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist leads the development of digital marketing campaigns and initiatives that support Economic Development Winnipeg and Tourism Winnipeg's business development, talent attraction, events and visitation efforts.
This role plays a key role in driving web traffic, acquiring leads and managing EDW's digital presence, including the website, and supporting overall business growth through various digital channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS

Plan, set up, manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and other platforms as required.
Lead website development projects ensuring strong UX and compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Execute digital marketing strategies for SEO, SEM, email, social media and display advertising.
Be the in-house digital marketing expert; keeping up on trends and best practices.
Monitor KPIs and web analytics, develop and generate reports and provide insight on opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams and third-party agencies to coordinate activities such as campaign reporting, ad creative delivery and content creation.
Conduct in-depth research on keywords, target audiences and key competitors to inform marketing strategies.
Assist with day-to-day marketing tasks and project coordination as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience developing, executing and optimizing paid advertising campaigns across multiple channels, including email marketing, social media, and display.
Experience using digital tools and platforms such as Monday.com, Sprout, Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Beautiful AI, Tableau and Semrush.
Strong understanding of SEO, keyword optimization and analytics.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously.
Experience managing website projects with knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools is considered an asset.
Familiarity with email marketing platforms and automation tools (such as Pardot) is considered an asset.
Able to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Detail oriented and organized with the ability to work well as part of a team or independently.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
~2+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing is required.
~ Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field is required.
~ Digital marketing certifications are a plus (Google Analytics).

WORKING CONDITIONS
Full-time, in-office position with standard business hours.
Works well in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects simultaneously.
