We're currently seeking an experienced BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST to support our client, SaskEnergy, on a full-time onsite contract based in Regina, Saskatchewan. This position plays a key role in delivering analytics solutions that support enterprise data-driven decision making and digital transformation.
The ideal candidate has a deep background in modern data architecture, analytics, and cloud-based BI tools with a proven ability to transform complex datasets into clear business insights using platforms such as Power BI, Azure, and Databricks.
Duration: Initial contract through March 31, 2026 (with potential for extension)
• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST
• SaskEnergy Digital, Technology and Security (DT&S) Division
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field
• OR Minimum 10 years' related experience in a BI or analytics role
10+ years of experience working with modern data management principles
• Proven SQL development experience for data extraction, transformation, and reporting
• Expertise with Power BI, Power Query, and DAX
• Experience integrating and visualizing data from legacy/on-prem systems
Power BI Service, Microsoft Azure Databricks
• Building and managing content and data governance structures
• Experience with star schema and analytical data models
• Develop and optimize BI reports and dashboards
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align analytics with operational goals
• Maintain SQL scripts and reporting logic to ensure accuracy and relevance
• Translate data into actionable insights and technical solutions
• Support SaskEnergy's enterprise-wide data transformation initiatives
This is a full-time onsite, 9-month contract role beginning July 1, 2025, based in Regina, SK. The selected resource will join SaskEnergy's Digital, Technology and Security division to deliver data solutions aligned with organizational strategy and compliance standards. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for enabling business outcomes through data.
