The Chef de Partie is responsible for the production of all pastry items following standard recipes, ensuring the highest quality products, supervising colleagues efficiently, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards as per company guidelines. The role involves creating a departmental culture of motivation, team spirit, and creativity.
General Duties

Produce pastries, cakes, desserts, chocolates, petit fours, and ice cream, ensuring compliance with prescribed recipes and specifications.
Assist in stock level recordings and store all semi-finished and finished bakery products properly to minimize spoilage.
Monitor proper handling and storage of all produce to prevent spoilage.
Supervise all pastry service throughout the property.
Ensure smooth operation of the section while maintaining cuisine and hygiene standards.
Standardize and communicate all pastry recipes to team members.
Store all goods correctly and hygienically according to HACCP specifications.
Promote a positive working atmosphere.
Work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience at a supervisor level in Pastry.
Strong knowledge of pastry and bakery techniques.
Understanding of Western pastry basics.
Experience in a 5-star luxury environment is essential.
