And that's where you come in.DescriptionHitachi Rail seeks an enthusiastic, self-motivated Project Engineer thriving in a fast-paced environment.
The role is based in Perth, Australia.
The candidate should handle tasks ranging from administrative to strategic levels.Key responsibilities:
Planning engineering activities with the Project Manager and design teams.Managing engineering, delivery, and change processes.Conducting design reviews and managing design documentation.Reporting on engineering status, including risk assessments.Obtaining technical approvals and managing configurations.Applying systems engineering principles.Fostering continuous improvement in all activities.Ensuring safety standards are upheld in all activities.Key knowledge and experience:
Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, with a background in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.5+ years in Project Engineering, preferably in rail, systems, and signaling.Experience with turnkey rail signaling projects, such as ETCS, ERTMS, and CBTC, is highly desirable.Proven ability in resource management and working with multicultural teams.Experience with real-time system engineering, testing, integration, software verification, and safety-critical techniques.Agile mindset with decision-making capabilities in challenging environments.Strong analytical skills for data-driven insights.Excellent stakeholder relationship skills.At Hitachi Rail, we value diversity and are committed to an inclusive environment, aligning with our core values:
