We are seeking disability support workers to provide assistance:
Location:
Greenvale, VictoriaSomeone dedicated to providing ongoing support, fostering a professional and long-term relationship with both the individual receiving care and her primary caregiversProviding 1:
1 supports accessing the community and/or assistance in the homeFriday 8am - 8pm24 hours per fortnightResponsibilities:
Implement support plans based on supported person's needs, preferences, and interestsFollow a diabetes management plan, mealtime assistance planHelp with all aspects of daily living from getting up in the morning to going to bed at nightAid people to get to their chosen activities like social events, work, and appointmentsUse of a wheelchair for all community access activitiesPromote personal choice and control for the personAssist with personal care, hygiene and household duties such as cleaning, cooking, and washingAdminister medicationQualifications and Experience:
A passion for enabling and working with peopleDesire for meaningful work and comfortable providing people with daily living supportWillingness to work as part of a teamYou will also bring with you or be willing to obtain:
