ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are looking for an energetic and customer-focused individual to join our Community Facilities team.

Reporting to the Coordinator Community Facilities, the Facilities Assistant is responsible for providing high-level customer service, general cleaning, and maintenance support to ensure the smooth operation of Council's community facilities. The role involves customer service, assisting with event setup and pack-down, cleaning, and maintenance of facilities. You will also help conduct tours, inductions, and promote the use of Council's community facilities.

Coverage is required seven days a week between 4.00am and 3.00pm, so the role demands flexibility to work within this roster. Your availability and preferred working arrangements can be discussed during the interview process.

Proven ability to work independently, with good time management and organizational skills.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including setting up and packing down equipment and cleaning facilities.

A base hourly rate of $32.28 (plus 11.5% superannuation). Penalty rates apply for weekend and public holiday work.
