PMC Site Senior Cost Engineer

Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Site Senior Cost Engineer for ADNOC Gas Processing client to be based in Abu Dhabi within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.
Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be full time onshore site based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The key objectives for this role are :

Developing accurate cost estimates for projects by analyzing data and specifications
Ensuring projects stay within budget by monitoring and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle
Implementing cost control strategies and procedures to manage project expenses effectively
Preparing regular financial reports and expenditure statements to keep stakeholders informed of the project's financial status
Conducting cost-benefit analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency
Analyzing supplier quotes and negotiating to achieve cost reductions and meet target costs
Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost information and resolve any financial issues
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities :

Develop the contractual requirements relating to cost control & estimation, invoicing of payment & variations to be stipulated in the Agreements (FEED, PMC, EPC etc.) and incorporate them into the tender documents / agreement
Evaluate the technical bids (PMC, FEED and EPC) to ascertain compliance to the specified requirements and provide clarifications to the bidders for the same
Prepare relevant portion of the Technical Evaluation Report and to finalize the relevant portion of the contract documents after incorporating all bulletins issued and clarifications received during the tender stage
Evaluate Variation requests / claims by contractors and to make in-depth analysis of all cost related submittal from consultants and prepare counters estimates taking into consideration contractual schedule of unit rates for variation and make appropriate recommendations to management for approval.
Prepare AFE / AFOU for all ongoing projects for management approval
Coordinate with the Project Control Managers of all Project Management Consultant (PMC), to ensure adherence to the Project Control Procedures and other requirements throughout the project duration to achieve successful project implementation
Ensures charges of the costs to correct account codes

Expected :

Bachelor of Engineering in related discipline
Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil and Gas industry with 5 years of experience in similar role
ADNOC projects experience is mandatory
