Role Summary:

The Investment Associate supports the full investment lifecycle across idea generation, execution, and portfolio management. The role is buy-side focused, with direct involvement in acquisitions and divestments aimed at optimizing returns and expanding the investment portfolio.

Role Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends and investment opportunities across various sectors.
  • Analyse market data, economic indicators, and industry reports to support investment decisions.

Financial Analysis and Modelling:

  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models for potential investments.
  • Perform financial analysis including cash flow projections, IRR, NPV, and sensitivity analyses.

Due Diligence:

  • Assist in the due diligence process for new acquisitions, including coordination with other teams (e.g., legal, accounting, investor relations etc).
  • Review and analyse deal related documentation and financial statements.

Investment Execution:

  • Support the preparation of investment proposals and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the negotiation and execution of purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and financing arrangements.

Asset Management:

  • Work closely with the asset management team to monitor the performance of existing investments.
  • Provide analytical support for asset repositioning, refinancing, and disposition strategies.

Client and Investor Relations:

  • Maintain relationships with investors, bankers, and other industry professionals.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for investors and stakeholders.

AI and Technology:

  • Efficiently uses AI tools where appropriate to enhance productivity and overall potential.

Required skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in investment, private equity, investment banking, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
