In the air, which contains the gaseous form of water, H subscript 2 O gas, the water molecules are disconnected and widely spaced. Three of these rings are connected to each other. In the sea, which is the liquid form of water, H subscript 2 O liquid, the water molecules are very densely packed. The molecules are not bonded together.
