Breuke met sirkels

  • Neem 'n vel papier wat soos 'n sirkel lyk.
  • Vou dit in die helfte en knip dit op die voulyn.
  • Merk elke stuk: "een halwe".
  • Kleur die sirkels in wat in die helfte geknip is. Die helftes moet ewe groot wees.

  • Voltooi hierdie getallelyne.
  • Maak 'n X halfpad tussen 0 en 10.
  • Maak 'n X halfpad tussen 10 en 20.
  • Maak 'n X halfpad tussen 20 en 30.

Afronding van getalle

  • Kyk!

Die vragmotor het verby die halfpadmerk X gery tot by 8.

  • Die motor het nog nie tot by die halfpadmerk X by 5 gekom nie.
  • As ons die afstand wat die vragmotor gery het tot die naaste veelvoud van 10 wil afrond, kan ons sê dat 8 tot 10 afgerond kan word.

Die 8 is nader aan 10 as aan 0.

Op dieselfde manier kan ons die getalle 5, 6, 7 en 9 ook tot die naaste veelvoud van 10 afrond, wat 10 is.

Maar die getalle 4, 3, 2 en 1 kan nie tot 10 afgerond word nie, want hulle is minder as halfpad op die getallelyn na die volgende veelvoud van 10.

Hulle is nader aan 0 as aan 10.

  • As ons die volgende getalle afrond, maak ons so:

I believe temperature being an intensive property does not change for any amount of boiling water whereas heat being an extensive property changes with amount/size of the system.

temperature for any amount of water to boil at ntp is 100⁰C (it is a state function and and intensive property) and it depends both will give same amount of heat because the surface available for heat transfer is greater in case of the kettle as well as the heat stored in it but if you talk.....
