Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Care Unit, you will provide critical therapies and treatments to patients, including pre and post-diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, pre and post-operative care, and administration of medications and IV therapies. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Monitoring and evaluating patient conditions
Administering medications, blood products, and pain management
Performing procedures such as foley catheter insertion and telemetry monitoring
Assisting physicians with advanced medical procedures
Delivering compassionate care tailored to adult and geriatric patients
Essential Functions:
Perform thorough assessments
Plan and implement effective nursing care
Evaluate and adapt care plans as needed
Engage in continuous professional and personal development
Qualifications:
We are looking for a critical thinker with strong judgment skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months. A valid registered nurse license in West Virginia is also required.
