Title: Perimeter Firewall Security Ops Specialist
Location: Irving, TX (Onsite)
Duration: Full time
Role Responsibilities:
• Strong analytical and quantitative capability with attention to detail

• Organization ability to prioritize work and deliver on time against project plans
• Maintain highest level of integrity
• Exhibit high degree of flexibility and ability to multi-task and work effectively with minimal supervision
• Strong communication, relationship building and diplomacy skills
• Strategic thinking and ability to deliver against tactical goals
• Self starter and be able to manage time against deliverables
• Ability to function under high-stress situations, and have the ability to logically troubleshoot complex network and/or application connectivity issues
• Ability to analyze customer requirements to ensure all standards, policies and guidelines are upheld from the compliance and information security perspective
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in Check Point & Palo Alto Firewalls, and/or Juniper Experience
• 5+ years in Configuration, end-to-end deployment, and integration of firewall and remote access infrastructure experience
• Must have experience with networking and/or TCP/IP, DNS, load-balancing, network routing with BGP
• Must have Linux/UNIX experience
Highly Preferred Skills:
• If you are an EXPERT on Palo Alto, we could appreciate that skill on top of experience with other firewall products.
• Competence in Cisco ASA and Juniper SSL VPN appliances
• Strong understanding of enterprise network
• Relevant certifications preferred: Checkpoint, Juniper firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls
• Solid troubleshooting experience, as it is common to run into issues/complications during deployments, and you need to be able to navigate yourself in such situations.
• Competence in Linux/UNIX
• Network Perimeter Security Concepts
• Centrally managing firewalls
• High Availability/Clustering experience and scenario-based questions
• Installing NIX systems from scratch (most of the FWs we work with, have a Linux based OS)
• Troubleshooting network issues
• Troubleshooting firewall related issues
• Experience in project management life cycle
• Advance written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficient with various browsers and Microsoft Office products including Visio, Word, Excel, IE, Firefox
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
