IT Operations Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Operations Specialist is responsible for the daily activities of maintaining IT operations within their location. They will be responsible for the execution of projects and incident resolution utilizing standard company procedures and best practices.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for site IT setup, user training, desktop maintenance and configuration, server administration, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, installations, maintenance/support and process documentation.
Execute IT support requests and make recommendations for changes in process, training, software, etc. to improve delivery to the facility.
Work closely with internal and external support teams to create workflows that enhance and streamline the customer support experience and establish best practices.
Foster and grow our culture of providing strong IT service and support.
Ensure all issues are appropriately resolved, and necessary actions and/or escalations are in place to facilitate resolution. Escalates issues to IT Management team as needed to ensure timely customer satisfaction.
Work closely across all IT disciplines and with all locations for problem resolution.
Maintain and review documentation and checklists to ensure high quality of service thus maximizing efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay up to date and current IT practices relevant to job responsibilities.
Assist with IT planning as necessary
Required to respond to after-hours/emergency support request as needed.
Support and coordinate with IT vendors, as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree in Information Systems or related field
Proven work experience in IT Desktop setup/management, Server management, networking, etc.
Familiar with Active Directory administration and hardware imaging processes
Strong technical background in Desktop / Server OS's, Networking and Virtual Environments
Knowledge of networking protocols and tools:
VPN
Routing
TCP/IP
Firewalls
VoIP
Network Analysis tools

Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Intune
Experience with vendor management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field
Experience with Kronos timekeeping system
Understanding of ITIL and ITSM best practices beneficial
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a PC Technician in a Manufacturing environment

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Solid interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Interpret problems and present clear, actionable solutions to stakeholders
Experience with ServiceNow or similar IT ticketing system.
Proficient in hardware and software lifecycle practices.
Experience with industrial label printing including zebra printers, drivers and interoperability with Windows 10 / 11.
Supporting industrial equipment/IT interfaces including working with machine and control engineers to ensure security and operability.
Must be physically able to move about the office building, lift, bend and stretch for installation or maintenance of computer, server and networking equipment.
