Starr Regional Medical Center is excited to announce an opening for a Registered Nurse in our Geriatric Psychiatry Department. This is a permanent, full-time position with an attractive sign-on bonus.

Core Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patients' conditions.
Develop a personalized plan of care that addresses identified issues while actively involving the patient.
Administer treatment as outlined in the care plan, including medication management, specimen collection, and clinical therapies.
Maintain accurate documentation of all patient care activities.
Monitor, record, and share updates on patient status with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including transfer, discharge, and psychosocial support.
Assess educational needs for patients and families; provide tailored education based on age, culture, and conditions.
Actively advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Associate's degree in Nursing (Required)
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse License in Tennessee or another compact state.
Required Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification at the time of hire.
