In this role, you ll work closely with customers, both with individual accountability but also working closely in a team within the SOC, escalating matters as appropriate to long-serving members of the SOC team.Reporting to the Head of SOC, the ideal candidate as Technical Support Engineer will provide incident response, triaging queries, and escalating matters as appropriate within a 24x7 Security Operation Center as part of a global team.

The candidate shall have an interest and enthusiasm for cybersecurity, network security, solving issues and high levels of attentiveness and service towards high levels of customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this Technical Support Engineer role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Rapid response to security incidents generated via analysis and automated toolsLead security incident response investigation process and triage incident reports as requiredBe able to make rapid and thoughtful decisions, often with incomplete information, and engage with customers to understand and help towards mitigating DDoS attacks in their environment, providing high levels of customer support and interactionWork with the customer to resolve issues alongside more experienced members of the teamTroubleshoot problems and issues with customer networks and virtual environment alongside more experienced members of the teamRequirements:
Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsCustomer-facing skills requiredActive interest in systems and networksKnowledge / experience using Linux and other related tools desirableKnowledge / understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP) desirableKnowledge / experience of (virtual) infrastructure design and management in mission critical environments desirableNetwork or security certifications a plusSelf-motivated and, in time while supported, able to work with minimal supervisionOffice or remote working from home possibleFluent English.
