Mechanical Engineering Supervisor - Condado Vanderbilt Hotel

• Skilled and experienced Engineering Mechanic Supervisor to lead our team of engineering mechanics in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and systems
• Keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day to day maintenance of the hotel under the direction of Engineering Management.

• Supervise a team of engineering mechanics, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

• Plan and coordinate maintenance and repair activities for mechanical equipment and systems.

• Continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guestsand associates.

• Oversee the installation of new equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.

• Diagnose mechanical problems and develop effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime.

• Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and protocols.

• To be an independent mechanic, able to analyze problems and to formulate plans to get work done quickly including procurement of materials, parts, etc., and necessary scheduling arrangements with a high degree of quality.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Experience as Mechanical Engineering and other systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating machinery as supervisor for at least 3 years.
• Must poses experience in one or more of the following areas: Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic/Electronic Systems & Controls, Plumbing, Carpentry & Finish Skills, Kitchen Equipment, General Building.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Able to lift heavy objects.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Hospitality oriented
• Fully Bilingual a Must(Spanish/English).
