Medical Head Nephrology CEE

(Full-time / Permanent / Location: Prague)

The Opportunity

The Medical Head Nephrology CEE will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive medical strategy and plan aligned with the commercialization of CSL's nephrology assets in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region. With a deep understanding of Rare Disease and Nephrology therapy areas, the successful candidate will drive transformative changes in patient journeys, representing the CEE markets and ensuring the localization of medical strategy through execution.

The Role

• Lead the Medical team to achieve objectives in compliance with CSL's values and strategies.
• Shape the development of the local strategy within the CEE Regional Nephrology leadership team.
• Own local medical governance and serve as the ultimate decision maker for the local Medical department.
• Develop and implement the annual CEE medical plan in alignment with cross-functional brand and country strategic imperatives.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues to develop and implement the local brand strategy.
• Establish effective clinical engagement with medical associations, external experts, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee local data gap analysis, data generation plan, and research grants.
• Manage the regional medical budget and ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company processes.
• Approve local promotional materials and activities.
• Collaborate with medical counterparts in CIS countries to develop and implement local medical brand strategy.

Primary Job Function

• Collaborate with the CEE leadership team and cross-functional stakeholders to meet CSL's corporate goals in nephrology.
• Develop and implement the CEE regional medical strategy and plan.
• Deliver effective external engagement and medical education initiatives.
• Lead the medical team to achieve quantitative and qualitative metrics.
• Support Vifor-sponsored and Investigator Initiatives Study (IIS).
• Ensure compliance with relevant Vifor medical governance procedures and policies.

Your Skills and Experience

• Medical Doctor with professional experience in hospital practice.
• At least 5 years of experience in the Pharma Industry (Medical Affairs).
• Adequate training and experience in clinical studies and Pharmacovigilance.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the Commercial Lead Nephrology CEE (CSL Vifor).
