SUMMARY
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will utilize your expertise, attention to detail, empathy, and analytical skills to provide exceptional care to patients with respiratory issues. Your role is vital in ensuring personalized and meaningful treatment plans are developed for each individual.
Canton-Potsdam Hospital is a not-for-profit community healthcare facility with 94 certified beds. Our mission is to deliver outstanding healthcare services to our community. In addition to our main campus, we offer outpatient services in Brasher Falls, Canton, Colton, Gouverneur, Massena, Norfolk, and Potsdam, NY.

LOCATION : Canton Potsdam Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Respiratory Services
SCHEDULE: 12 hour shifts
ATTRIBUTES
A minimum of an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent certification is required.
New York State Respiratory Therapist license required.
ACLS certification (current) required within one year of hiring.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Care. Assess and evaluate patient histories, physical exams, vital signs, and respiratory care orders. Provide recommendations to healthcare providers on the most suitable respiratory care techniques.
Planning & Documentation. Develop and update individualized respiratory care plans, collaborate with healthcare team members to implement these plans, and consistently monitor clinical parameters to adapt treatments as needed.
Education & Communication. Deliver patient education on therapeutic procedures, communicate essential clinical information to the healthcare team, and actively participate in training and orienting fellow team members and students.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
PAY RANGE:
$35.42 - $52.55
The listed base pay range is a good faith estimate of potential pay for a successful full-time applicant. Pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
