As an L&D RN at Los Alamos Medical Center, I provide individualized care to patients and families in the obstetric unit, performing essential medical interventions and documentation.
I collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and advocate for the well-being of my patients while also educating families about their care.

On our family-focused OB unit we provide LDRP care on an individualized basis to patients and families.

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Advanced Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within one year from hire.
Current NM RN license or appropriate compact RN licensure.
