We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our surgical services team, providing exceptional care in the operating room and recovery area. You will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience from admission to discharge.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Manager, OR Supervisor, and Pre-op Surgical Services Coordinator to prepare for specific patient needs.
Adhere to established policies, safety standards, and confidentiality protocols.
Conduct thorough assessments, and develop care plans for surgical patients.
Assist with surgical procedures and monitor patients during recovery.
Ensure all medications, supplies, and equipment are readily available for procedures.
Review patient charts to verify completion and necessary documentation.
Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and discharge instructions.
Participate in the surgical team as a leader, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the surgical process.
Qualifications:
Education: Nursing degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Licenses: Active RN license in Michigan.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS (to be completed within 1 year of hire).
Experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience recommended; experience in an operating room preferred.
Skills Required:
Strong critical thinking, judgment, and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining quality care standards.
Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
