The
Lactation Consultan
t is responsible for providing breastfeeding assistance and support to mothers and babies. Promoting the benefits of breastfeeding, providing one-to-one inpatient and outpatient consults, to ensure teaching of basic breastfeeding skills to new mothers offering support and encouragement.
Minimum qualifications:
BSN with CT license
RN with experience as Certified Lactation Consultant
Expectation of IBCLC certification by October 2024
Preferred:
Experience with breastfeeding education and skills
Current IBCLC certification with experience and knowledge
