Position Summary:
The Emergency Department (ED) at Spring View Hospital, embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. This is an 11-bed unit that ensures patients receive optimal medical attention and support. You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
The RN demonstrates professional development and clinical competency; utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Address health educational needs for patients, families and other healthcare providers.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/family needs for ages neonate through geriatric.
Manage patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to patient and unit operations.
Act in a clinical leadership role.
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Associate's degree in nursing

required
Bachelor's degree in nursing

preferred
1+ years of ER experience preferred
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS is required within 6 months of hire.
CEN certification is preferred.
TNCC certification within 12 months of hire or grandfather-in PHTLS certification
PALS or ENPC certification within 12 months of hire
License:
Current RN license in the state of Kentucky
