Job SummaryKamehameha Schools is seeking a Campus Finance and Accounting Manager to support our Po'okula's office. This is a full-time regular position with full-time employee benefits. We are looking for someone with specific experience in accounting, auditing, planning, and budgeting. This person would be responsible for managing accounting and internal controls for our student activities, internal campus financial reporting, audits, collections, and leading our operating and equipment budgeting processes. CPA designation is strongly preferred. This person directly supervises one or more staff as assigned, and may represent the Office of Campus Finance & Administration in the absence of the Director in meetings and other matters.Essential ResponsibilitiesLeadership/Management

• Guides campus personnel regarding the application of all school policies, procedures, and programs over areas of oversight: Finance, Education Support Services (Admissions and Enrollment), Human Resources, and Information Technology.
• Provides strategic direction for program development related to areas of oversight, that will improve the performance and efficiency of services in the respective areas.
• Manages staff as assigned and supports the continued career, skills, and leadership development of assigned staff.
• Aligns programs with each initiative's goals and objectives and the organization's mission and values.
• Provides guidance and support to fiscal personnel and all other clerical/admin support staff across divisions (i.e. unit office clerks, administrative/senior administrative assistants, administrative/senior administrative coordinators, etc.).
• Manages Student Activities Accounting, ensuring goals are aligned with campus vision and mission.
• Works alongside the Director to represent the interests of the Kapalama Campus in matters relating to Education Support Services, Human Resources, and Information Technology. Works collaboratively with these departments in the furthering of campus goals in the respective areas. Also works alongside the Director in representing the campus with other enterprise level personnel such as the Controllers Division, Financial Planning & Analysis, Human Resources, KS Tax, and KS Legal.
• Acts on behalf of the Director in their absence, including delegation of all applicable approvals, decision making authority, and attendance at Campus Leadership Team meetings.

• Designs, evaluates, recommends, and implements continued improvements to campus policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls, including those over student activities to ensure alignment with KS policy.
• Interprets, monitors, and administers organization and campus policies and procedures to assure compliance.
• Educates and provides information to campus personnel regarding policies and procedures.

• Analyzes and/or reviews campus monthly financial statement and FTE variances for presentation to the Po'o Kula and for the enterprise Finance division.
• Alerts the Director of any abnormalities detected in the budget monitoring and consolidated variance report.
• Provides strategies for detail analysis that would include forecasting and trends for consideration by the Campus Leadership Team.
• Prepares other ad-hoc reports or information for campus and/or enterprise personnel upon request, including quarterly budget re-forecasts for the enterprise Finance division.
• Provides financial analysis and support for strategic planning initiatives via leadership, ad hoc and/or special project groups.
• Supports the Director to ensure integration of appropriate financial information (e.g., projected, budgeted, actual, etc.) with strategic plans and initiatives.
• Provides leadership over the student receivable waiver process including the review and approval of waiver requests prior to submission to the Po'o Kula and/or CEO for approval.
• Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of financial statement reporting on student activities to clubs and to the Controllers Division.

• Assists with providing recommendations to the Po'o Kula for divisional budget allocations for the annual operating budget planning process.
• Serves as the lead for the campus annual operating budget process, including presentations to campus leadership and/or divisions prior to the start of the process and financial analysis for the Director and/or the enterprise Finance division as needed. Prioritizes campus expenditures to adjust campus budgets when organization needs warrant reallocation or cost reductions.
• Oversees the campus equipment budget, including the application of independent judgement in balancing competing priorities given limited funding capacity.
• Provides indirect oversight over fiscal personnel in other campus divisions and serves as a support for the budget preparation process.
• Uses professional judgment to review, evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to the campus budget process.
• Monitors allocations and expenditures, and related financial activities to ensure that allocations are accurate, expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscal practices are followed.
• Routinely monitors the campus' fiscal health via reports generated by enterprise Finance.

• May provide support to the Director as needed with campus Human Resources related issues and initiatives.
• Evaluates job descriptions to design jobs that aid in effective recruitment and retention of campus jobs, aids in performance management, and accurately reflects expectations that align with campus needs.
• Responsible for the monitoring of FTEs (aka TAP) for the campus (including re-purposing of FTE)
• Aligns personnel resources with the campus' strategic mission and goals.
• Monitors professional development budget for the campus.
• Develops and implements professional development programs for all fiscal administrators and administrative/clerical personnel on campus to ensure campus wide alignment of goals and priorities.

• May work alongside the Director to represent the campus with respect to Education Support Services issues (Admissions/Enrollment) and Information Technology to ensure the campus' interests are represented .
