KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Federal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

• Research and provide guidance to clients on the application for Federal standards, policies, regulations, and technical guidance
• identify / propose corrective actions for reconciliation issues related to posting logic, USSGL compliance, A-136, and areas within financial management for optimization
• Assist engagements and clients in generating reports, performing reconciliations, and requested information / questions from auditors
• Investigate and propose solutions for accounting issues, accounting methodologies, and effects on the financial statements
• Perform complex accounting analysis of transactions and balance related to financial statements / trial balances
• Assist in the development of thought leadership initiatives (e.g.
  development of application guidance, methodologies, whitepapers, articles, etc.)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of three years of federal financial management experience
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA, CGFM, or CDFM certifications preferred
• Experience in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements for U.S.
  Federal government entities; working knowledge of the USSGL
• Experience applying FASAB, Treasury, GAO, and OMB regulations
• Ability to travel as required to support firm engagements
• Applicant must possess a U.S.
  Government TS/SCI + poly clearance
