We seek a Principal Storage Architect responsible for designing storage and retrieval solutions for EM&C data using platforms like Botney Bay and Kobiashi Maru. The role requires a strong understanding of storage design, implementation, issue mitigation, and prevention. The candidate should be a self-starter, capable of planning and effectively communicating storage solutions.
The Principal Storage Architect will work primarily in Aurora, CO, with some travel to local sites for meetings and system implementation. Candidates must be local and willing to support architectural design meetings as needed.
What You Will Do
Design advanced storage and virtualized infrastructure
Architect, develop, and support storage solutions optimizing performance and scalability
Participate in technical exchange meetings to discuss design and architecture
Engage with vendors for hardware/software support and perform trade studies
Collaborate with system administrators and engineers for implementation
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in STEM (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Physics) and 8 years of related experience
Experience with storage systems (Dell, IBM, NetApp)
Experience with Botney Bay and Kobiashi Maru platforms
Experience with containerized storage solutions (PVC/OCP/Kubernetes)
Ability to obtain U.S. TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with Agile methodologies
Knowledge of enterprise backup architectures (e.g., Cohesity)
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS
Experience with VM provisioning (VMWare/Vsphere)
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Java, Ruby, Bash)
Experience with identity/access management solutions
Experience with code repositories and automation frameworks
Experience with Linux system administration
CompTIA Security+ certification within 90 days
