Certified Surgical Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technician to join our team. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Surgical Technician is responsible for ensuring the care and safety of surgical patients. This role includes assisting the physician with the preparation and technical aspects of surgical procedures, performing routine technical duties, and ensuring a sterile and safe environment in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the physician with preparation and technical duties during surgical procedures, acting as the scrub person.
Perform routine technical duties, such as sterilizing equipment, handling instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Ensure the care and safety of patients during surgical procedures.
Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure the smooth flow of operations.
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols, maintaining a sterile environment.
Skills/Abilities:

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive material with discretion.
Proficient in computer usage and maintaining digital records.
Capable of following instructions and working with precision under pressure.
Demonstrates maturity, sensitivity, and flexibility when faced with challenging situations.
Required Qualifications:

High School Graduate or equivalent.
Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Certification from an accredited body by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, to be obtained within 12 months of completing the training program.
Preferred Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting is preferred.
Certifications:

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
