The 2D pipeline developer works and supports the 2D pipeline team, artists, and supervisors to solve Nuke-related issues. In collaboration with other pipeline team members, the developer identifies and solves complex challenges related to tools, plug-ins, and workflows.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain efficient and creative workflows and tools for compositing artists.
Troubleshoot artist tool issues and develop effective solutions in collaboration with pipeline team members.
Work daily with the pipeline management team and team lead to identify and implement existing and new features.
Attend daily scrum meetings.
Write technical briefs and user documentation.
Identify early areas of improvement and escalate issues as needed.
Qualifications Passion for staying on top of latest features in Nuke.
2+ years experience writing Nuke pipeline code using Python.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Talent for designing intuitive, artist-friendly workflows without sacrificing functionality.
Understanding of object-oriented programming patterns.
Comfortable with Git and unit testing.
Basic DCC familiarity with Houdini and Maya.
Experience with PyQt or PySide is preferred.
Understanding of Color Science is a plus.
Experience programming in C++, especially using Nuke's NDK, is preferred.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $170,000 per year, specific to applicants in Los Angeles, California. Compensation varies based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
