Summary / Role Purpose

The Product Specialist Manager leads the testing and deployment of software products and supporting systems. In this role, Manager will use expertise to develop spec, negotiate success criteria and provide refined requirements to drive exciting new product features to meet business objectives. The person will be leading a team of 3-4 members and will be guiding field with expertise for product deployment. Apart from that, all expert queries, issues in the field will be handled by the PS Manager. This role requires Manager and team to closely work with both R&D and Field Engineers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Develop competence in a product area and be recognized as a regional expert
Test the products extensively in internal and drive field testing.
Work independently and as a member of a team and lead/motivate others
People management & be a mentor for junior levels
Provide neat, accurate, and thorough work from team in a timely manner
Complete assignments without specific directions, recognize problems, and apply or suggest viable solutions

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

BS/MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years experience
Familiar with VLSI design flows towards RTL design, simulation, synthesis, timing and power
Proven track record of leading group of engineers or having similar skill set.
Solid Perl, TCL, Python programming skills

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Ability to translate product spec into testing plans
Ability to drive field testing for products and summarize the testing results.
Ability to overcome obstacles and drive projects to completion
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and Strong people management and leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies, and to mentor junior engineers
