How You'll Contribute
In this role, you will impact patient care by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care interventions. You will shape exceptional patient journeys daily and leverage your skills alongside our cutting-edge technology to enhance patient wellbeing.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
One to three years of work experience; greater than two years preferred.
What You Will Do
Perform assigned duties and responsibilities.
Complete focused patient assessments and reassessments.
Adequately assess and manage pain using appropriate techniques.
Effectively communicate with patients of all ages and various needs.
Demonstrate knowledge of medications and their correct administration according to age and clinical condition, following the 6 rights of medication administration.
Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical and manual skills.
Provide treatments and services consistent with your licensure.
Optimize patient safety and minimize errors in patient care.
Operate equipment safely and correctly.
Educate patients and families on disease processes.

North Alabama Shoals Hospital is a 178-bed general acute care facility featuring spacious, private rooms, a 24-hour emergency department, and comprehensive medical services including oncology, intensive care, and short-stay surgery units. We also operate the region's only inpatient acute rehabilitation facility and a dedicated psychiatric unit for senior adults.
