Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking an experienced Orthopedic Registered Nurse (Ortho RN) to join a team of healthcare professionals in Anchorage, Alaska. Your full-time role is vital in providing specialized nursing care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions and those who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care, manage pain, facilitate rehabilitation, and educate patients on orthopedic health.

Job specification

Conduct thorough assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions, identifying their physical and emotional needs.
Monitor vital signs, pain levels, and surgical incisions, taking prompt action in case of complications.
Assist in orthopedic surgeries, ensuring proper positioning, aseptic techniques, and instrumentation.
Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures, expected outcomes, and post-operative care.
Collaborate with physical therapists to develop and implement mobility and rehabilitation plans.
Assist patients in regaining strength, range of motion, and independence in daily activities.

Candidate requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited Institution.
1 year experience.
Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Previous experience in orthopedic nursing is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Empathy, patience, and dedication to providing exceptional patient care.
