Design ManagerHill International is a global leader in project management and construction consulting services.
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Sr.
Design Manager to join our team.
This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits.
Job Summary:
As the Sr.
Design Manager, you will oversee the design process for various projects, working closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements, are completed within budget, and on time.
You will also manage a team of designers, providing guidance and support throughout the design process.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the design team, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure high-quality designs.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop design strategies and plans that meet project requirements and objectives.
Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
Monitor and track project progress, addressing issues or delays impacting the design process.
Conduct design reviews and recommend improvements and cost-saving measures.
Manage the budget and resources for the design team, ensuring projects are completed within budget and schedule.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders for effective communication and collaboration.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to improve the design process and deliver innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 20 years of experience in design management, preferably in construction.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
In-depth knowledge of design principles, building codes, and regulations.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other design software.
Proven track record of managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
