Production Systems Analyst
The Production Systems Analyst is a key member of the Production Services team and is responsible for maintaining and improving production processes and reporting systems, and performing business data analysis. The production services environment includes the resources needed for client data exchange, analytical processing, and information reporting.
• Performing in a lead capacity under the Manager of Production Services
• Enforcing production processes and policies where applicable
• Maintaining and improving the performance and scalability of production systems
• Understanding and streamlining the production processing workflow
• Ensuring production SLAs are consistently met
• Performing deep dives on data for analysis, investigation, and RCA
• Producing and maintaining documentation of processes, SLAs, workflows and settings
• Strategic analysis and conditioning of client data for customer onboarding
• Working with the software development and analytical teams to seamlessly introduce new capabilities and processes into the production environment
• Participating in the software release process, including risk analysis, deployment of code or configuration changes and evaluation of results
• Assisting with planning and roll-out of a production dashboard
• Monitoring and capacity planning around production systems
• Participating in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises
• Demonstrating leadership and decision making abilities

Requirements of the Position:
Required:
• 5 or more years of experience in an IT production environment
• 3 or more years of experience in a data analysis role
Desirable:
• Experience in any facet of the retail industry
• Previous experience in a lead role
• Experience in cloud processing and/or SAAS based computing
Analytical/ Technical
Required:
• Strong data analysis skills
• T-SQL proficiency
• Microsoft SQL Server environments, SSIS, SSRS
• Familiarity with SQL concepts such as indexes, keys, joins, cursors, and index fragmentation
• Microsoft Office experience, particularly strong with Excel (VBA/reporting)
• Familiarity with data warehouse reporting systems
• Visual Source Safe or other source control software experience
• Experience working with very large data sets on the Terabyte scale
Desirable:
• Database administration experience (backups, restores, etc.)
• Microsoft Azure or other comparable cloud computing platform
• Strong Reporting skills
• Business analysis experience
• Six Sigma, statistical process control or other quality improvement methodology
• Experience with job scheduling software
• Experience with ETL or data integration products
• Experience with SharePoint
Education:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, information systems, engineering, or operations research, or comparable experience
Other Skills/ Experience
Required:
• Strong verbal and written communications skills, especially across teams
• Must be able to work effectively with development, IT, analytics, and client services teams
• Ability to work and determine priority independently where required
• Demonstrate robust leadership abilities
• Ability to compile and clearly present analysis to management and executives
• Capable of managing workloads for individuals as well as the team
• Very detail oriented, organized, resourceful, reliable
Travel:
• Rare, but as needed
