Works Supervisor

As our Works Supervisor, you will join our Rail Arboriculture team - operating on rail sites throughout the Midlands & Yorkshire regions.‍‍As our Works Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
• Acting as main point of contact on delivery sites for internal and external stakeholders with responsibility for COOMBES activity/works
• Producing accurate scoping of works - working closely with the Project Manager to ensure understanding of delivery requirements and to inform communication
• Perform COSS duties on site as required, or other safety-critical roles, i.e.
ES
• Supervising, directing and motivating internal colleagues/external labour - providing clarity on tasks/work and problem-solving to ensure efficient and effective delivery
• Delivering toolbox talks, task and SSOW briefings to the delivery team, as required
• Providing daily reporting of activity and completed works to the Project Manager
• Undertaking site audits and inspections, ensuring the accurate completion of relevant paperwork
• Undertaking vehicle checks in line with company procedures, promptly reporting any issues to the appropriate person.
• Carrying out risk assessments on site, highlighting potential hazards whilst proactively suggesting ways of eliminating hazards and improving work methods‍‍To be successful as our Works Supervisor, we would ideally like you to have the following:
• Experience in a similar supervisory role
• Skill in rail vegetation clearance, with experience climbing and/or mechanised arboriculture
• PTS
• COSS
• SSSTS
• CSCS
• NPTC Brushcutting Operations (L2)‍‍What else are we looking for?
• You will be confident working with various tools and possess a good working knowledge of health and safety practices
• You will take pride in your work, completing tasks to a high standard - self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A natural ability to build good working relationships with clients and colleagues
• Methodical approach to problem-solving with excellent attention to detail‍The role can be physically demanding and involves working at height.
