1:1 Tutors SEND

Ackerman Pierce work closely with Local Authorities and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN /HLTA's/tutors/teachers.

We are currently recruiting for KS1 - KS4 SEND Tutors to provide face to face provision to pupil's who need access to Alternative provision in all across Surrey in various locations. The role is to start straight after Easter holidays.

Start date - 15/04/24
End date (if applicable) - ongoing
Contract type - Temporary
Full time/part time - Part time 15 hours per week over 5 days, 3 hours per day (with capacity to increase to multiple students equalling 30 hours per week)
Rate of pay - £25 - £35 per hour
Hours - Tuition must take place between 0830am and 1630pm Monday - Friday (Term time only)We are looking for candidates who are:-

Available during school hours up to 30 hours per week.
Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASD/MLD/SpLD
Exceptional behaviour management strategies.
Prepared to work face to face within the community or young persons home.SEND Tutor responsibilities:

Planning each session of tutoring.
Tailor sessions, teaching techniques and materials to individual learners.
Fill Gaps in Young Persons Knowledge.
Completing weekly and half termly reports.
Providing feedback on the young person's progress.Requirements

Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5.
QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects
Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
