Network Engineer Full time, permanentLocation - Selby, hybrid working 1-2 days per week on site

About the role:
As a Network Engineer at Drax you'll be responsible for providing technical network support within the Network Tower. Maintaining the network infrastructure, resolving incidents, dealing with service requests, patching, and supporting project related workstreams.
Some key accountabilities for this role include:
• Being responsible for diagnosing and resolving network related issues either affecting the users or Network infrastructure.
• Being responsible for maintaining complex campus LAN Networks across multiple locations in the UK.
• Managing 3rd party suppliers as required to maintain LAN / WAN services.
• Day-to-day operation and support of various components comprising the active Network infrastructure including Cisco (Switches, Routers, Firewalls), Palo Alto (Firewalls & Panorama), Velocloud / Zscaler SASE platform, F5 Load Balancers (Big-IP / LTM) and Meraki wireless systems.
The Power Station is a busy site so it would be beneficial if you've worked in a site-based role previously or have knowledge of site Health and Safety.
Who we're looking for:
To be successful in this role you'll need to have:
• A number of years experience working in a network technical support function at 3rd line level.
• Minimum CCNA certified or able to demonstrate technical hands-on knowledge at that level
• Hands on experience configuring / supporting Cisco switches (IOS, IOS-XE, Nexus) and Cisco Routers
• Hands on experience configuring / supporting firewalls (Palo Alto Firewall experience is desirable)
• Previous experience with SDWAN / SASE (especially Velocloud / Zscaler) would be desirable.
