Polytec are looking for a Facilities Technician for our client based in Ely.
Responsibilities:
• Building maintenance and repairs including basic electrical work, basic plumbing, internal painting, general repairs and gutter/drain/window cleaning
• Appropriate disposal of waste materials and monitoring waste review area
• Maintenance of all outdoor areas
• Assist with general internal building cleaning
• Stock control and Kanban of materials and products
• Maintain accurate records
• Contractor management including PTW Site induction and reviewing risk assessments
• Be aware of Health, Safety and Environmental policies ensuring compliance
Requirements:
• Knowledge of electrical safety
• Basic knowledge of plumbing
• Experience in contractor management including PTW and reviewing risk assessments
• Good DIY / garden maintenance skills
• Enthusiasm for and experience with landscaping / grounds maintenance
• Ability to multitask, time manage and work independently
• Basic electrical skills City and Guilds or equivalent BTEC would be beneficial
• PAT Certificate useful
• Certificates for use and storage of spray pesticides (weed control) useful
• Forklift (FLT) and full driving licence preferred
