Position Summary Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Registered Nurse demonstrates clinical competency, utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, addresses health educational needs for patients, families, and healthcare providers, manages patient care assignments, and handles organizational tasks related to patient unit operations. The role involves comprehensive nursing care for Medically Complex patients and requires meeting the following criteria:
Education Requirements Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred)
Geriatric certification (preferred)
Mandatory Qualifications Recent experience in complex care, geriatric nursing, acute or rehabilitation settings
Ability to perform IV starts and venipuncture
Strong clinical practices and evidence-based care championing
Knowledge of Continuing Care reporting systems (CCR), Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), and Minimum Data Set (MDS)
Experience in patient education
