About the Role

As a Business Integrity Director , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the Business Integrity and Corporate Governance (BICG) programmes. Your expertise will help guide investment activities from initial scoping through due diligence, active ownership, and exit, ensuring strong governance, compliance, and ethical practices across the portfolio.

We are looking for a leader who is passionate about sustainability and impact, with a track record of implementing strong business integrity frameworks in commercial settings. You will be working with a talented, diverse team of professionals dedicated to promoting social and environmental change through responsible investment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for Business Integrity and Corporate Governance (BICG) in pre-investment due diligence and portfolio management
• Develop, implement, and monitor business integrity and corporate governance tools and processes across the investment cycle
• Lead training initiatives for investment professionals on business integrity and corporate governance practices
• Provide oversight and continuous improvement for BICG across the portfolio
• Manage and resolve BICG incidents and collaborate with ESG teams to address risks
• Actively engage with external stakeholders, stay updated on global best practices, and incorporate legal and regulatory developments into processes
• Strengthen sector-specific approaches for BICG in designated teams such as Financial Services, Green Energy, and Infrastructure
• Support investment professionals by assessing BICG risks in potential investments, proposing mitigation actions, and monitoring portfolio performance
• Lead learning and improvement initiatives across the business integrity and corporate governance programmes

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing corporate governance and business integrity systems, identifying operational, reputational, and compliance risks, and developing effective mitigation strategies. You should be a strong team player, capable of fostering a collaborative work environment and driving positive change across the organization.

In addition, we require:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in business integrity within a commercial context, with a proven track record of leading business integrity initiatives
• Experience in assessing and managing business integrity risks in acquisitions and integrations (preferred)
• Master's degree or equivalent (e.g., MBA, Law, or related field)
• In-depth knowledge of best practices for anti-bribery, fraud, and corruption management in an international context
• At least one year of professional experience collaborating with international stakeholders, particularly in developing country environments
• A strong understanding of corporate governance principles and practices
• Experience facilitating change processes and driving operational improvements in businesses
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
• Passion for sustainability and the ability to contribute to social and environmental impact
