Our government client in Winnipeg, MB is looking for an Enterprise Cloud Architect resource for a 24-month contract (an initial 6 month contract with an extension option of an additional 18 month) reference 08Z27826-170.
The position is preferred to be onsite in Winnipeg, MB but remote will be considered.The Enterprise Cloud Architect Cloud Architects will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing the organization's cloud infrastructure.
Cloud Architects will be responsible for developing scalable and secure cloud solutions, working closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure the alignment of cloud architecture with business goals.

Cloud Strategy and Planning :
Develop and implement a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with organizational objectives.Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies and services to meet business requirements.Define cloud architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.Design and implement scalable and cost-effective cloud infrastructure solutions.Architect high-availability and fault-tolerant systems to ensure optimal performance.Collaborate with development teams to optimize applications for cloud deployment.Security and Compliance :
Implement and oversee robust security measures for cloud-based systems.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.Integrate and manage various cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and databases.Implement and optimize cloud-based solutions for data storage, processing, and analytics.Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment and management processes.Cost Optimization :
Develop strategies for cost-effective cloud resource utilization.Monitor and analyze cloud usage, identifying opportunities for cost savings.Implement resource scaling and auto-scaling mechanisms for optimal performance.Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity :
Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud environments.Ensure data backup and recovery processes are reliable and efficient.Collaboration and Communication :
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security.Communicate cloud architecture concepts and best practices to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.Provide training and support to teams to ensure adherence to cloud standardsWhat you must have :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role.Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and best practices.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration skillsDesired and Preferred Experience and Skills :
Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).Knowledge of serverless computing concepts and frameworks.Familiarity with hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
