OverviewWe are seeking a field service high voltage electrical technician for the Vancouver, BC area.
Here are some skills and attributes required:
SafetyAble to look at a single line, identify the equipment you will be working on, isolate it and lock out all the sources that could potentially kill you or a fellow worker.
Experience -Able to independently perform all testing to whatever piece of equipment you are working on.
This should apply to 90% of the everyday equipment seen including transformers, HV/MV/LV circuit breakers, disconnects/loadbreaks, VLF cables, CT's, PT's, relays.
• Must be able to test a 600V circuit breaker 100% through.
Not, everything except the relay.
100%-Able to test a distribution transformer and auxiliary devicesCommunication -Ability to write your own technical reports after job completion and communicate clearly in verbal and written EnglishAvailabilityMust be available for work during off hoursOfferBest compensation in the market for high voltage electrical technicians.
Union role, earnings anywhere from 180-220k per year for an individual with the correct experience and fit.
