Senior Oracle Database Administrator

CGI is looking for a Database administrator experienced in Oracle database as well as working knowledge of any of the following database technologies:
DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo.
The preferred candidate will work with his/her colleagues of different domains for the delivery and support of new IT and Databases Solution for our clients.The person who gets this position will join our dynamic team to work on challenging engagements and environments.

• Use standard tools and procedures to carry out the established service deliveries and maintenance tasks;
• Coordinate the delivery of services in cooperation with other level-two service groups (security, telecommunications, Virtualization, System Administrator), level-three technical specialists and external suppliers;
• Respond to clients' requests based on contractual conditions;
• Manage client communication;
• Follow ITSM ITIL processes for managing incidents, questions and requests for changes;
• Ensure the development and update of procedures and documentation;
• Implement solutions, modifications and installations, and perform maintenance;
• Carry out performance improvement, administration and backup/recovery (business continuity) of database
• Follow up and control the performance and status of a specific IT element;
• Create, suspend and delete security accounts on the servers;
• Oversee tests and analyses of a specific IT element;
• Apply security correctives as needed;
• Install, configure and manage various database tools;- Working knowledge of OEM, cloud native tools, Golden Gate, Exadata and patching
• Maintain and develop scripts using UNIX shells and Windows PowerShell;
• Use software tools and material to diagnose and solve issues/outages;- Conversant with database migration/conversion strategies and implementation
• Resolve problems in compliance with the established procedures;- A great team player as well as a resourceful individual contributorRequired qualifications to be successful in this roleExpert knowledge and experience of :
• Oracle database administration and management on various OS and platforms Oracle10g to 23c
• working knowledge 1 or more of these databases - DB2, MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL
• Commvault, Netbackup
• Cyberark
• Patch deployment and migrations
• Scripting, automation and efficient use of tools
• Database performance tuning and security.
OCI or Azure or GCP; Oracle Exadata machine X8M and higher.
Database performance tuning, RAC, DR and HA configuration and administration.
Certification in Oracle database and/or Cloud.
