With a strong presence in the FMCG sector, we are committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to our customers. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing Finance team.

About the Role

The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee all aspects of the accounts payable function, including vendor management, invoice processing, team supervision, and month-end reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong financial acumen, process improvement experience, and the ability to manage a high-volume, multi-location environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the accounts payable function and supervise the team
• Manage vendor relationships (domestic and international), including transporters, customs brokers, and service providers
• Oversee invoice processing, matching, and coding for inventory, freight, utilities, and logistics expenses
• Administer and reconcile company credit card transactions
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to verify goods receipts and track incoming shipments
• Perform vendor account reconciliations and ensure timely payments through EFT, wire, cheque, or credit card
• Allocate import and freight charges accurately for inventory costing
• Reconcile warehouse expenses and allocate costs across locations or business units
• Support financial reporting, month-end close activities, and audit preparation
• Drive process improvements through automation, OCR, and internal control enhancements
• Provide training, mentorship, and workload management for support staff

What We're Looking For

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
• Strong understanding of AP best practices, internal controls, and financial systems
• Proficient in ERP systems, QuickBooks, Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Dynamite.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience in import logistics, freight cost allocation, or multi-location operations is an asset
