  • Administer and maintain SCIC's IT infrastructure, including backup and recovery systems, remote access tools, wireless networks, security platforms, server operating systems, and network applications.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for core infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Support, manage, and maintain services hosted in Microsoft Azure and Azure VMware Services (AVS), including virtual infrastructure, networking, security, and integration with on-premises systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across cloud and on-premises environments, identifying root causes and implementing preventative solutions to maintain system health.
  • Research, recommend, and implement technical solutions and infrastructure upgrades based on organizational needs and budget considerations.
  • Perform predictive and trend analysis to forecast infrastructure needs, including storage growth and hardware capacity planning.
  • Research, implement, and manage security technologies and policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and identity/access controls.
  • Assess the current architecture for security risks and design future-state solutions to meet evolving corporate needs.
  • Document infrastructure procedures and standards, and serve as a technical resource to support analysts and technicians.
  • Act as a technical lead and subject matter expert on infrastructure projects and cloud transformation initiatives

Qualifications:

  • To be successful in this position you will need a Diploma in Information Technology with 5 years' experience in server or network administration and support.
  • Proven knowledge of data centre technologies including blade servers, SANs, virtualization (VMware ESX or Hyper-V), and disaster recovery planning.
  • Experience in LAN/WAN management, enterprise network hardware, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in network and server administration, including configuration and management of firewalls, virtual machines, and enterprise applications.
  • Experience with cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure and Azure VMware Services (AVS).
  • Understanding of cryptographic controls and experience deploying secure infrastructure solutions.
  • Problem solving, analytical and research skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information.
  • Organizational, planning and scheduling skills with ability to adapt to changing deadlines.
  • Verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical staff.
  • Written communication skills, with the ability to precisely document information.
  • A satisfactory criminal record check is required.
