POSITION SUMMARY
Join us in shaping the future of technology at HomeEquity Bank! We are seeking a Full Stack Developer, in this role you will design and develop scalable, high-quality web applications for HomeEquity Bank. Reporting to the Director of Digital Delivery, you will work across the entire software development lifecycle-from backend database structures to front-end interfaces.
You will work alongside cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and ensure the successful execution of software development. We are seeking a motivated professional with experience in both backend and frontend development who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE
Application Development:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications, ensuring robust performance
Build APIs and integrate third-party services to support application features
Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using modern frameworks
System Design and Architecture:
Architect backend systems, including database schema design and application logic
Implement security best practices for data protection and application integrity
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Collaboration and Documentation:
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to ensure alignment of project goals
Maintain detailed technical documentation for code, APIs, and system processes
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Monitor applications for performance issues and resolve bugs promptly
Perform regular updates and improvements based on user feedback and evolving technologies
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years' experience in full stack development
Experience leading a team of engineers
Strong experience with Python and modern web frameworks (FastAPI preferred)
Proficiency in React and frontend development
Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
Experience with version control systems
Experience with platforms such as Azure and Salesforce
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Nice to Have
Experience with workflow engines (particularly Temporal)
Knowledge of financial technology or mortgage industry
Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of security best practices in financial applications

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with risk and technology partners
Self-starter with a passion for learning and implementing new technologies
