include the Pape Tunnel Underground Station section of the Ontario Line, RSSOM and Hurontario LRT

This position is a full-time 100% onsite position at our downtown office.

The Technical Manager key responsibilities are:

Coordinating activities of the technical office and of external design firms. Guaranteeing that all temporary work drawings (road accesses, plant platforms, etc.) and work drawings are prepared according to project drawings
Coordinating activities concerning civil works, plants and rolling stocks, and those interfacing with the Concessionary
Preparing, in agreement with the Project Department, the work scopes for assigning the engineering services to External Consultants
Proposing improvements, project changes or variations, preparing the technical documentation for Client approval purposes
Approving, the technical documents issued by the employee Services
Coordinating the necessary design activities so that all technical and administrative permits and authorizations needed by the company to carry out works and to obtain the fitness for habitation permits are all attained.
Keeping registers of all changes/approvals making sure that construction drawings include them all
Guaranteeing to the prepare construction drawings according the working drawing, and the

shop-drawings, coordinating with the appointed suppliers

Guaranteeing that geological surveys, geotechnical verifications, basic and working topographies and technical/economic management of monitoring are all carried out
Approving, for what falls under one's area of responsibility, the technical specifications and

documentation concerning the purchase of supplies and subcontracts

Defining, collaborating with the Foreman, the methods to use to carry out the works
Interfacing with the LEED Manager to define the minimum requirements concerning the technical specifications
Supervising the activities of the External BIM group, checking that clash verifications have been carried out and how construction engineering works are advancing
Carrying out specific tasks for the role in line with the quality specifications set by the QAS Manual and corporate procedures

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Engineering Degree
Minimum 10 years' experience as Construction Site Technical Manager in urban underground metro works
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English

JOB REQUIREMENTS

10 years' experience in this specific sector
Experienced in coordinating MS Project, P6, Navisworks
