Position Summary

Manage the Accounting/Finance function for various corporate entities and functions. Including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Collections and Financial Reporting. Primary responsibilities include ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations within the trucking and logistics industry.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours

What you will do

• Oversee multiple payroll processing runs, which include approving all payroll related payments.
• Manage and supervise monthly and annual financial reporting process for consolidated financial statements and ensure accounting standards are met for Private Enterprise. This will include approval of journal entries, accruals, adjustments and analysis.
• Manage statutory remittances and reporting which includes, GST/ HST, payroll remittances, corporate taxes, fuel tax reporting, and any audits.
• Assist with budget and forecasting processes.
• Maintain Accounting systems including new function implementation, recommendations, controls and improvements.

What You'll Bring

• 3- 5 years of similar experience
• College diploma and CPA designation
• Public accounting experience
